24/12/09 Opening of the pedestrian bridge to bring together the two shopping areas of PLAZA Imperial
The investment totalled 177,000 euros. The pedestrian bridge was designed by a company in Huesca

The councillor of Public Works, City Planning and Transport of the Aragonese Government, Alfonso Vicente, attended the opening of the pedestrian bridge that will connect both shopping areas of PLAZA Imperial.

Work began on the pedestrian bridge in August with the purpose of keeping pedestrians from crossing the A-120 road which is an access to PLAZA and has a lot of traffic.

The works were carried out by the temporary merger of Mariano López Navarro and Acciona for an amount of 177,000 euros. The shopping centre contributed 70,000 euros to this amount and the rest of the investment was paid for by the company that manages PLAZA, in which the Government of Aragón is the largest shareholder.

The pedestrian bridge project was designed by Imagina, a company from Huesca. The project designer is the Road, Canal and Port engineer, Luis Javier Sanz. It is a metallic pedestrian bridge with a single, central section and two access ramps of two and three sections, respectively. The bridge will connect both sides of the A-120 road so that pedestrians can cross it safely and thus the walkway will provide greater safety to the area in general.
